PREMIERETV: STUMPED ON HOW TO SPRUCE UP YOUR CHILD’S ROOM?  HELP IS HERE.

YOU CAN EASILY CREATE THE PERFECT KID-FRIENDLY SPACE BY CONNECTING TO THE POWER IN COLOR.  RENOWNED DESIGNER GENEVIEVE GORDER HAS TIPS ON HOW TO DESIGN YOUR CHILD’S ROOM OR NURSERY:

Gorder:  Color really has the power to transform a space and set the mood for a room, and paint is a great way to incorporate color. For children’s rooms, don’t be afraid to bring in a sophisticated palette.  Look for paint that has no V-O-Cs and is mold and mildew resistant like Valspar plus, which is certified by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.  Also, try to build your child’s design sense by incorporating heirloom, vintage or adult furniture pieces that would fit in anywhere else in your house; these are pieces your child can grow up with.

PREMIERETV: DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR STORAGE?

Gorder: You can easily conceal the chaos of toys with upholstered boxes, wooden crates, canvas bins, or even a vintage steamer trunk.

PREMIERETV: YOU CAN MAKE HOME DESIGNING FUN, NOT OVERWHELMING.  FOR MORE KID-FRIENDLY TIPS AND COLOR INSPIRATION, VISIT VALSPAR PAINT DOT COM.
