zcomm Partners with Washington Animal Rescue League and Celebrates
"Take Your Dog to Work Day"

Bethesda, MD., June 10, 2008 - Gas prices. Food prices. Real Estate. Stock market. What can make all that worry instantly disappear? A dog. Cute and cuddly. Or, big and brawny. Their wagging tails and unconditional love make everything OK - and even better when you can take them to work.

"'Take Your Dog to Work Day' (TYDTWD), is a great concept. Nothing makes animal lovers happier than being around their pets, and at zcomm, we're definitely animal lovers," says Rise Birnbaum, CEO and founder of zcomm. "I decided to keep this fun holiday going by partnering with the Washington Animal Rescue League to help them keep their dogs healthy and happy."

So, in addition to Take Your Dog to Work Day zcomm will go a step farther and donate $1,300 to the Washington Animal Rescue League (WARL).

Part of the donation will go towards WARL's Love Fund, which provides medical care for seriously sick and injured animals. Some of these are shelter animals and others are the pets of low-income guardians who can't afford the cost of major veterinary treatments. zcomm will also sponsor a dog's entire stay at WARL until they're adopted into a loving home.

Birnbaum frequently brings her five-pound Maltese, Moose, to the office. But with an additional 13 employees and their four-legged friends and animal lovers looking to adopt filling her office in downtown Bethesda, zcomm is the place to be on June 20th-- National Take Your Dog To Work Day.

TYDTWD was created in 1999 to celebrate dogs' companionship and encourage pet-adoptions. Surveys estimate that nearly 10,000 companies in the United States and Canada opened their doors to employees' dogs last June.

WARL, founded in 1914, has been a leader in the field of animal welfare, caring for homeless and abused animals and placing them in loving adoptive homes. A private, not-for-profit organization, WARL relies solely on private donations and volunteer efforts to support its rescue work.

"We're thrilled that zcomm has asked to partner with our efforts," says Jim Monsma, Director of Communications for the Washington Animal Rescue League. "Their contribution means a great deal to our organization, but it means even more to the homeless animals that depend on WARL for survival."
